My Classes

01.

I am currently taking this course so many of my posts will be based off this class. It is described as "Originating in Eastern aestheticism and Ayurvedic medicine. Yoga provides a venue for understanding the 'non-dualistic worldview' and gradual development of 'dualism' in the East ad West. Discussion and discovery will focus on the history, philosophy and applications of Yoga over time and across continents."

02.

I am currently taking this class online. It is described as a "survey on basic human nutritional concepts. I involves web-based instruction on topics including food choices and human health, nutrition tools, standards and guidelines, energy balance and healthy baby weight. Students will examine concepts of food safety and life cycle nutrition. Students will apply the concepts through analysis of their own diets and activity patterns."

03.

This class was an HTMS elective and a course for Holistic Health Minors. I took this class last fall as a Junior and it was very fascinating. This course was described as "A comprehensive understanding of the global spa industry as it relates to the hospitality industry. The focus is on understanding the business and management skills necessary in the increasingly lucrative and complex spa industry. Topics include licensure, compensation models, and legal and ethical issues."

04.

Not only was Statistics an HTMS requirement, it also fulfills the research requirement for Holistic Health minors. I took Statistics my very first semester at Stockton as a freshman. The course was divided into 4 modules: Analysis of Group Differences (measuring and sampling validity) , Examining Relationships (Chi-Square, correlations, forecasting, simple linear distributions), Applications of Probability (probability and distributions, expectations), and Application Areas (t-tests, control charts, experimental design).

I will put a course description here for my future classes!
